Favourite Autumn Lipsticks- Swatches!

Morning guys!

After noticing a lot of Autumn/Fall posts going around I thought I would do one of my own. I really love this time of year when I can get my nice cosy scarves and jumpers out!

And what better thing to talk about than lipsticks!

MAC Viva Glam V, Rimmel Kate Moss 107, MAC Sunny Seoul, MAC Creme Cup, MAC Love Goddess, MAC Shanghai Spice, MAC Honey Love

Viva Glam V- this is a perfect nude colour for daytime, this is a lustre finish so looks slightly glossy.

Rimmel Kate Moss Matte (107)- this is a new addition to my lipstick collection and have be wearing it to death, definitely one of my new favourites!

Sunny Seoul- this is also a new addition to my collection and I absolutely adore it. This is a cremesheen finish to it, this is definitely my favourite lipstick formula by MAC.

Créme Cup- I'm sure if you are a fan of MAC you have probably heard about this lipstick already. This is a gorgeous nude-pink shade and is a great colour for daytime that isn't too intense. This again is a cremesheen finish so it isn't too drying on the lips.

Love Goddess- this lipstick is definitely one of my favourites from the Marilyn collection. It is a beautiful berry pink shade, this is a satin finish so it has a slight matte finish to it with a hint of gloss to it. Definitely one to pick up!

Shanghai Spice- this one is quite similar to the Viva Glam V, but is a cremesheen finish. It is a beautiful daytime nude colour with a slight brick-red undertone to it.

Honey Love- this was my first nude colour which bought last year. This has a matte finish to it, I would recommend using some lip balm before applying this as it can be slightly drying. Definitely my go-to nude for Autumn/Winter months, as you can see I have worn this to death.

MAC By Request Collection- My Picks!

Evening all!

So as you may know by now I am a total MAC junkie! This collection is definitely no exception. When I saw MAC were releasing their By Request Collection again, this collection features previously discontinued products. This is an online-only collection so unfortunately is not available in stores.

I had spotted two lipsticks I had wanted for the longest time, Moxie from the Retro Matte Collection, and Candy Yum Yum from the Quite Cute Collection. Both of these shades have a gorgeous matte finish which I am loving at the minute. Surprise, surprise these are both pink colours! I am a total sucker for pink lipsticks!

Moxie is a beautiful deep fuchsia pink colour which is gorgeous for this time of year I love the matte finish on this and it glides onto the lips so smoothly without tugging.

Candy Yum Yum is a fabulous bright neon pink colour, this can look quite scary in the tube but it is gorgeous on the lips, this also has a matte finish and glides beautifully onto the lips. This colour I feel can also work quite well for this time of year.

Moxie, Candy Yum Yum

Now you may ask how did I get my hands on this collection if it is online only? Well after hearing about a new service in Ireland Parcel Motel, I was able to order from the UK website. I was then able to pick my MAC goodies up from my local Parcel Motel location. This is great as some UK websites offer free shipping! Find your nearest Parcel Motel location here!

Also keep an eye out for a giveaway once I hit 100 followers on my blog! Welcome to all my new readers :)

Have you tried anything from this collection?

OPI Skyfall Collection- My Picks!

Morning all!

So as a massive James Bond fan I was excited to hear for Holiday 2012 OPI were releasing a new Skyfall collection. All of these polishes of course are named after various 007 films.

There is a massive selection to choose from with this collection. I picked up 5 colours from this whopping 12-piece collection. This collection features a lot of bright reds and greyish-gunmetal colours, which are perfect for this time of year.

I will definitely be picking up more of these colours on my trip to New York next month.

For now these are some of the colours that stood out to me as immediate favourites.

You Only Live Twice, Goldeneye, Tomorrow Never Dies, On Her Majesty's Secret Service, The Living Daylights

You Only Live Twice                                                                         Goldeneye

Tomorrow Never Dies                                                            On Her Majesty's Secret Service

 The Living Daylights

These colours will all be featured in future Nail of the Day posts, so keep your eyes peeled.

I bought my OPI polishes on eBay from this seller. Really affordable, quick shipping!

Top 3 Favourite Concealers!

Morning guys,

Today I wanted to share with you some of my favourite concealers, most of which are drugstore/pharmacy, with one or two high-end brands thrown in. Today I have selected three of my favourite/most re-purchased concealers.

1. Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection (Shade: Fair) - This is one of the most raved about drugstore concealers in the blogging/vlogging community. This has a lovely creamy consistency to it which makes it a dream to blend. I would recommend this to someone looking for a great quality drugstore concealer. This is priced around €6 and can be found at Boots and Superdrug stores.

2. Make Up Forever Full Cover Concealer (Shade 3)- This is one of my higher end concealers. This is a waterproof formula and when they say waterproof they really do mean it! This stuff doesn't budge all day, and has become my go-to concealer for everyday. However this stuff dries quite quickly so you need to work with it fast, it also dries slightly darker so be weary of that. This concealer is €26 and is available from Make Up Forever stores and from Sephora.

3. Revlon PhotoReady Concealer (Shade 002 Light)- This is a great concealer for on-the-go touch ups, as well as having SPF 20. This concealer is so creamy and easy to blend, this lasts about 3-4 hours on my skin before needing to be touched up. This is priced at around €10 and can be found in Boots and Superdrug stores.

Benefit POREfessional- Review!

Happy Monday beauties!

Since I discovered this primer over the Summer from a sample in a magazine I was in love! I am already onto my 2nd tube of this stuff, I can tell it will definitely be a staple in my makeup bag.

With my combination oily skin I have problems with makeup fading around my T-Zone. I apply the tiniest bit on my forehead, nose, cheeks and a little on my chin, this leaves me with a gorgeous velvety finish ready for foundation.

This makes my makeup last a good 9 hours on my skin, where before using this makeup would last about 3 hours before sliding all over the place and looking patchy. I would recommend this to people with similar skin types as mine, but saying that this will work for all skin types.

Another great tip for POREfessional is to mix a little in with your foundation for a matte finish.

Benefit POREfessional is €34 which is a lot, but considering the results I think it is definitely worth splashing out on. This is one product I will definitely be repurchasing in the future!

POREfessional is available anywhere Benefit cosmetics are sold

Slimming World Update!

Morning guys!

So I thought I would share with you my weight loss. 4 weeks ago I joined Slimming World, this is the first slimming group I've joined and after hearing a lot of success stories from friends I thought 'why not'?!

To date I have lost 10 pounds and couldn't feel better about myself! I definitely feel a lot better and find it so simple to follow. It's definitely something I am going to stick to having seeing other peoples results.

Over the last month I have been eating a lot more fruit and following the book I received. With this plan  it allows you up to 15 SYNS per day. With this plan it is basically not completely cutting out the bad foods, but eating less of them, as well as being made aware of the unhealthy food. I've noticed improvements in my skin also, it looks much clearer and smoother too!

Yesterday I received my half stone reward, as well as Slimmer of the Week (woohoo!)

You can read up more about Slimming World here

Nail of the Day- Max Factor Graffiti

Afternoon lovelies :)

So I've recently discovered Max Factor nail polishes and I have to say I am absolutely loving them! The colour I am wearing today is Graffiti, which is a gorgeous deep turquoise colour with a hint of bright turquoise shimmer. These polishes also dry super quick which I love! No more waiting around for them to dry. This polish took two coats for full opacity.

I will definitely be picking up more nail polishes from Max Factor in the future, and at €4.99 you can't really go wrong.

Max Factor is available at selected Boots stores

September Favourites

Evening beauties!

I am shocked to be posting my September favourites! That month seemed to have flown by. I haven't done a favourites post in quite a while, I quite like favourites posts, so I thought I'd share with you what I have been loving this month.

Original Source Vanilla & Raspberry shower gel- This seriously smells amazing! I've probably gone through about two bottles of this stuff. It's so sweet and has become my go-to shower gel.

Black Tied for Asos gold Skull cuff- Since I bought this towards the end of August I have been wearing it non stop. I get so many compliments when I wear this bracelet. It's available to buy here. They're also an Irish company so another plus :)

Bourjois Healthy Mix foundation- I am already on my second bottle of this stuff. I thought at first when I looked at this it would be too yellow for my skintone, boy was I wrong! This blends amazingly and it has become my go-to foundation for everyday.

Essie Help Me Grow basecoat- Usually I find products that claim to make your nails grow quicker a total gimmick, but while I was in Italy back in August, I picked this up from Sephora to give it a whirl. I am so impressed with this I feel my nails grow much quicker than before. They also don't tend to peel or chip as much as well. Definitely recommend!

MAC Creme Cup lipstick- This is definitely my go-to lipstick for daytime, I find it quite moisturising and it lasts ages before needing to be re-applied. It's a really wearable shade for both day and night.

MAC Woodwinked eyeshadow- I have rediscovered my love for this eyeshadow, this colour works really well for daytime all over the lid with some smudged kohl pencil. Definitely a shade that would suit everyone.

Real Techniques Expert Face brush- I recently purchased this brush at the beginning of September, but found myself reaching for this almost everyday, it's great if you want to have full coverage it really blends in my foundation beautifully. Very similar to the Buffing brush which is part of their Core
Collection.

Makeup Forever Full Cover Waterproof Camouflage concealer- This is another product I picked up while on holiday. This has totally replaced my Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection concealer. This stuff doesn't budge all day! You also get quite a lot of product in this, and there's plenty left considering I have been using this everyday since I bought this back in August! Will definitely repurchase this when I head to New York next month! I use the shade number 3 :)

Marc Jacobs Daisy Eau So Fresh perfume- I'm surprised I have so much of this stuff left! I've been using this most days this month and have fallen back in love with this scent. It's great for everyday as it's lovely and fresh (hence the name!) and not too overpowering for daytime.

Sleek Contour Kit (light)- I picked this up while I was in Belfast at the end of August and have been using this everyday. It really makes a difference to my face when I apply this. I was relatively new to contouring when I bought this. I usually apply this with a Real Techniques blush brush or with their Contour brush for a stronger contour. Read my review here.

So those are my monthly favourites, I will definitely be featuring more favourites on this blog in the future.

What products have you been loving this month?
