Tarte Fantastic Foursome Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush Enthusiast Set Holiday 2012- Review + Swatches

Hey lovelies!

Apologies for my absence as of late. I have been super busy with last-minute Christmas shopping etc!

I thought I would do a little post of something I picked up (and am loving!) from the States last month. It is of course the set of 4 Tarte Fantastic Foursome Amazonian Clay blushes. These are perfect for someone looking to try the blushes before investing in the full size. This wonderful set contains 4 wearable shades:

Angelic (shimmering champagne)
Fantastic (soft fuchsia)
Magic (pink coral)
Stellar (shimmering nude)

These blushes are suitable for both dry and oily skins, as they contain Amazonian Clay, which penetrates to nourish the skin and retain moisture, for oily skin the clay helps to minimise pores and balance the skin to keep the product in place.

Angelic, Fantastic, Magic, Stellar

The quality of these blushes are fantastic, some of the best I have tried (kicking myself I didn't pick up more!). These are super pigmented so a little really goes a long way, also they are a dream to blend in and last absolutely ages.

I definitely find myself reaching for these a lot more now over any of my other blushes. If you come across these blushes I highly suggest checking them out.

Unfortunately Tarte Cosmetics are not yet available in Ireland *sob*, but try eBay (but watch out for the bogus sellers!).

This set of 4 blushes retailed for $35 for 0.10 oz, which for is fantastic. 1 full size blush retails for just $25 for 0.20 oz. The only difference aside from the size is the smaller blushes don't have a mirror.

I hope you all have a fantastic Christmas! I will be back in the New Year.

Lots of love,

Emily x

Christmas Blogger Meetup

Hi guys,

Apologies for being MIA the last couple of days, college has been absolutely hectic!

(My awkward deer caught in headlights pose, haha)

So on Saturday 8th December I headed to the Russel Court Hotel. The wonderful Sarah from Adoreabubbles did a fantastic job of organising this event, from the goodie bags we received to the beautiful venue.

I met some of my favourite bloggers on the day, and am already looking forward to the next meetup!

Sarah then had her makeup done by the lovely Niamh Martin from Nima brushes, which are fantastic and I am dying to get my hands on them! She also demonstrated her latest product, the Nima Mitt, which removes every trace of makeup with just water!

We were also given a talk from the wonderful Marissa Carter showcasing her new Cocoa Brown 1hour tan (review coming soon!). She is a total inspiration to young budding entrepreneurs. Both ladies were fantastic, I really enjoyed hearing about their latest creations.

Also sharing their tips on blogging were Emma from Fluff and Fripperies as well as Rachelle and Kat from Dolly Rouge and Elaine from Miss E Blog sharing her helpful tips about blog design.

To capture the festivities on the day we had professional photographer Shaun

After the meetup a few of us moseyed on down to Lush for a look around, it was absolutely jammed!

A few of us also headed to The Hard Rock Café for food and cocktails (which were delish!) and a little catch up.

Sarah really put together a fantastic event and really was the hostess with the mostess.

Christmas Gifts Under €10

Hi girlies

In this post I would love to show you some cheap and cheerful gift ideas for under €10. These gifts would make perfect stocking fillers orKris Kindle gifts. I always find it hard to find gifts for under €10 but I managed to hunt down some bargains.

Christmas Gifts for HER

Hey guys,

Today I will be featuring great gifts that would be perfect for sisters, girlfriends, mothers and wives! Again I would recommend finding out the persons interests and hobbies; makeup, fashion, books, movies, television, technology, music, jewellery. It is essential to be aware of the other persons taste before going out and buying whatever tickles your fancy.

Here are a couple of items I think would be great gifts this Christmas.

Christmas Gifts for HIM

Hi guys,

So as a part of my Christmas gift series I thought I would include some handy gifts for that special man in your life, be it dad, husband, boyfriend.
I find it quite difficult buying gifts for men as sometimes it can be hard to determine their tastes. So a great way to help you with buying for them woud be to find out their hobbies/interests.

It could be anything from music, television, sports, movies, art, technology or fashion. Once you have an idea shopping for that taste should be simple!

Here are a couple of ideas I came up with

November Favourites

Hey lovelies!

I can't believe I'm doing another favourites post, where is the time going?! Earlier this month I went to America and of course what trip to America isn't complete without (or a couple!) a visit to Sephora? So a majority of the items I picked up while I was over there.

MAC Whisper of Gilt- I purchased this product from their latest Christmas collection, this is a re-promote from their Extra Dimension collection. This is a beautiful smooth highlighter, with an almost creamy texture to it. These can be used as highlighters as well as eyeshadows. If you can get your hands on these I highly suggest trying them out.

Clarins Odyssey palette- Since buying this last month I have been using it constantly. The colours in this are great for taking a look from day to night. I have a more in-depth review here.

Urban Decay De Slick (Travel size)- I picked up this travel size in America, because I wanted to try before I shelled out the money for the full size. I'm absolutely loving this. I have combination/oily skin and this really helps with the longevity of my makeup. I did purchase the full size after trying this.

Revlon Grow Luscious mascara- I've had this mascara for about a month and have only started using it again this month, it is a fantastic mascara for defining my lashes, although I don't think it makes my lashes grow.

Bath & Body Works Vanilla hand sanitizer- I love this hand sanitizer, as it doesn't have that nasty alcohol smell to it, but a gorgeous vanilla scent. It also contains some glitter, but the glitter doesn't sit on your skin it just dissolves. I love the handy holder I bought with it as well, I can just attach it to my bag and use it on-the-go. I wish they would bring Bath and Body Works to Ireland ha ha!

* Hask Macadamia Oil Deep conditioning hair treatment- I was kindly sent some gorgeous Hask products to try, and this is definitely one of my favourite products. I have coloured my hair and bleached it throughout the years, so this has really helped put back some moisture to it. I use this along with the Exotic Shine Treatment which works fantastic when used together. I like to use this once or twice a week, I wouldn't recommend using it every time you wash your hair as it is quite a heavy conditioner.

Seche Vite Topcoat- What can I say? This has to be one of my favourite topcoats I've tried....EVER! It  dries super fast on the nails and leaves them looking gorgeous and shiny and lasts ages! I even picked up another bottle of this because I'm afraid I'll run out! If you are looking for a glossy, fast drying topcoat- try this!

Tarte Amazonian Clay 24 hr blush in Exposed- I have been wearing this blush almost everyday since buying it while in the States. It is a gorgeous dusty rose colour and is a great one for pale-skinned gals like myself.

NARS Sheer Glow foundation- I have been dying to get my hands on this foundation for ages. I picked this one up in the States as it is a darn sight cheaper in the States than here in Ireland. This is a heavier coverage foundation so I have strictly reserved this one for special occasions. It really is a fantastic foundation, my only problem with it would be it doesn't come with a pump!

Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish- This cleanser is so hyped up in the beauty community, and rightly so! I've been using this over the last couple of weeks and it removes every scrap of makeup off of my face. I use this with the Muslin cloth provided. This is a fantastic deep-cleanser. Definitely going to be a re-purchase for me!

What have you been loving this month?

The Christmas Tag!

Hi guys!

So since doing the I Love Fall Tag, I thought it would be nice to do a Christmas Tag, since it's my favourite time of the year!

Haha This is how I feel coming up to Christmas! Haha!

1.   What’s your favourite thing about Christmas?
I've always loved the couple of weeks building up to Christmas, all of the shops are nicely decorated, and of course the Christmas music!

2.   What’s your favourite makeup look for the festive season?
I love golds for eyes with a little bit of glitter here or there! I'm also loving deep burgundy lip colours this year (which I would have never went near before!) and reds. I like to focus more on my eyes and lips and keep the rest neutral.

3.   Real tree or fake tree?
I love the idea of a real tree but they tend to be a little messy, so we have a fake one. I always love to help in decorating it!

4.   Giving presents or receiving presents?
Definitely giving presents, I love the whole element of surprise and just the feeling in general, it makes you feel good when you give somebody a lovely gift. Receiving gifts is always nice too :)

5.   Do you open your presents Christmas morning or evening?
Morning! I'm still such a child at heart so I love opening them in the morning while watching some Christmas movies.

6.   Handmade Christmas cards or bought?
I love the idea of a handmade card but I am awful for making things so I just buy mine. I always get a funny card that always best describes my personality and my parents love it! haha :)

7. What's your favourite Christmas film?
That's tough but I love Elf, Will Ferrel is hilarious and I love to sit down and watch this every year. I also love the Grinch as well.

8.   What’s your favourite Christmas food?
Do you even need to ask?! It has to be a Christmas roast with all the trimmings! I love Christmas morning breakfast as well after going to a walk :)

I tag anyone who would like to do this tag, it has just added to my excitement for Christmas :)

What do you love most about Christmas?
